My own pb came out of kiln lake at the furnace lakes complex.
It turned out to be quite an adventure actually as I was fishing out by the main island using one of my old faves "Spicy Chicken" boilies from the dynamite baits range (Ill never understand why they stopped making those ).
Anyway, I was on peg 10, where there is a smaller island between your peg and the main island, and I managed to hook a carp after only three hours or so of fishing, problem was it decided to run round the smaller island.
So I was left with a carp on the other side of the island, with no way of walking round the lake due to the trees etc..
I shouted for my mates, who were in the next peg who both proceeded to laugh, which as you can imagine was most helpful, anyway I was forced to phone the bailiff myself (while I had the fish on), but the nice chap brought up a boat on the back of the quad bike.
10 minutes of paddling out to the fish, fighting it back to the bank, and getting it on to the bank resulted in my 30lb 5oz PB ”
