“As far as I know adding a small amount of salt is fine when you are making boilies or something like that, although i wouldnt go adding loads to your groundbait.”

“Salt is attactive to carp, liver and salt boilies seems to be very productive recently.. However I would not recommend adding salt to your baits unless you are sure of the quantity you require.. Too much salt cant be good for the fish.”
