“I have just heard reports that British waterways have just given the go ahead for an OFFICIAL GUINNESS WORLD RECORD CARP CATCH ATTEMPT ON BODDINGTON RESERVOIR.
Full details are yet to be confirmed, but we are led to believe that the attempt will take place over a 72 hour period, with the target weight being in the region of 2,200 lb
Watch this space for more information.”

“The average size of the carp in Boddington is somewhere between 8lb and 12lb, with plenty of bigger carp to around 18lb - 20lb.
I am not sure what the lake record is currently, but based on Clattercote (Boddingtons sister res) I would guestimate that its around 25lb - 30lb.”
