“Can anyone recommend a solution for my pole busting problem. Everytime I go fishing in high winds I end up busting a section of my pole. Now I know most people would say, dont use it when its windy, but there are often times when a pole is the only way to catch on my local carp lake.Has anyone else experienced this problem”

“If you are not already doing it, then you should try putting the end of the pole under the surface of the water. This helps to ease the wind pressure.”

“You can try increasing the length of the line, which should allow you to decrease the length of the pole. This will probably make controlling your float more of an issue, so its probably going to be a case of finding the best compromise ”
